Linda Schwab lives and works in Yorkshire, UK.
The starting point for her work falls into two categories; ‘recent events’, from life or mobile phone photos and ‘recreated events’, from archive or found photographs.
The paintings capture something mysterious and unknown, someone or something seen at a distance and committed to memory.
She describes the process of painting as starting with an objective record and ending with an attempt to capture what can be sensed at the peripheries of vision.
